A unique feature of the musical landscape which has been strongly established for nearly 20 years, the Vendome guitar festival is one of the few to propose a program open to all musical styles.
This year, the nineteenth edition of this event features 10 concerts scheduled over a week period
The Minotaure stage will host several major international guitarists, namely Raphael Fays, Rémi Jousselme with the Ensemble Orchestral du Loir-et-Cher who will interpret the Concerto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo, also Laurent Boutros and Norberto PEDREIRA TRIO and their prestigious guest, the accordionist Raoul BARBOZA.
The Russian night will enable the public to discover the balalaika and OPUS4, a vocal Gypsy Swing quartet.
Two days will be devoted to French music:
« JOUR DE FÊTE » and « KAIVA SWING TRIO » concerts will be held at nearby Danzé, while the concert with Helen MAURICE, the singer from Québec, will be held at the « Greniers de l’Abbaye » in Vendôme.
The Festival is the annual gathering of the elite of the guitar world, for an audience of faithful connaisseurs, or merely interested music lovers. It takes place in Vendome, from 9 to 16 July 2016.
