Monica and Alvaro COVARRUVIAS



Monica plays harp and Alvaro plays guitar.
This brother-sister pair played compositions at this festival
by authors from their native Chili.




  Antony and Christine REGIS France



Both members of this classical guitar duo are students of the
Ecole Normal of Paris. In Vendôme they played works by
Spanish composers.



  Toto BLANKE and Rudolf DASEK


These great virtuosos not only play jazz and
improvise perfectly, but they are gifted with a
great sense of humor.

They perform their own works.



  Jorge CARDOSO Argentina


Works by this musicologist and doctor from Posadas,
Argentina, are played around the world.

Certainly the most prolific composer in Latin America, he has
recorded 23 compact disks.

He is the founder of the Guitar Chamber Orchestra of Madrid.

  Luis ZUMBADO and Manfred RAMIREZ
This guitar duo plays the most beautiful Caribbean
and Central American rhythms.

Luis Zumbado is the director of the National Guitar
Orchestra of Costa Rica.

  Carlos MOLINA


After building an impressive record, this Cuban guitarist is
now a guitar teacher in the USA.

An annual tour brings him to several countries in Europe.

Repertoire : Barrios, Piazzolla, Brouwer.



  Pedro SOLER  Spain

He is a guitarist who not only plays flamenco in its
purest state, but has also won the Nobel Prize for
literature. Miguel Angel Asturias said of him :
« Pedro Soler's fingers are the five senses of the
guitar, in his hands it sees, listens, sings, suffers
and speaks... »

RCA, Decca, Le Chant du Monde and CBS have all
released his compact disks.



  Loir' Cordes   France
Twelve young musicians from Vendôme and Amboise (violin, viola, cello), under
the direction of Andrew Jossa, trained and supported by top-level concert
artists (Guillaume Fontanarosa and Vincent Daguet). They offer a varied
program : Classical, folk, ragtime, bossa, and so on.

Repertoire : Concerto en Ré majeur de Vivaldi. Soloist : Christine Martin
