Born
in Montevideo in 1959, he studied under the greatest masters of classic
guitar. In his courses he used the music played by others, music played
by ear, and managed to perfect his playing with the pupils who studied
under him.
He has been awarded various competitive accolades at the
international contests of Toronto, Benicassim, Madrid, Almu��car, Palma
de Mallorca, Paris, Alcoy and La Habana.
He is currently a Professor at the San Sebasti�n Conservatory (Bask
Country), chairman of the �AIREAN� Bask Country Classic Guitar
Association, Artistic Director of the Zarautz Festival and a founding
member of �GUIA� (Guitarists of America).
His
musical philosophy encompasses the understanding of different guitar
accents and languages through the circular path of contemporary,
folkloric and classical music, as well as other forms of expression.
