Cristobal Pazmiño

French television has aired this guitar composer's recordings on « La Terre et l'or des Incas » (FR3 1989) and on the documentary « Panama Prince des chapeaux » (ARTE 1997).

He has performed in 21 countries and has participated in the most prestigious festivals.


Cristobal Pazmi�o is the cofounder and artistic director of the International Guitar Festival of Vend�me.

: In addition to his own works, his repertoire includes pieces by Jorge Cardoso, Juan Falu, Celso Machado, etc., as well as traditional Equatorian composers such as Carlos Bonilla, Amable Ortiz, Espin Yepez, and Luis A Valencia.

  Ricardo MOYANO Argentina

A young composer and arranger, gifted in all styles of guitar, he has been to Spain to meet Jorge Cardoso and the greatest guitarists of the time. He played for a while in France with the Carteto Cedron and other top Argentinian musicians. Presently, he is based in Turkey continuing his career as a teacher and concert artist in the most prestigious festivals of the world.

  Yerbita - Flamenco Spain
Yerbita In France, as well as in Spain, his name immediately evokes flamenco of the purest Andalousian tradition.

Since the age of 12 in Alicante, Yerbita has combined the traditional values of flamenco with musical creativity. As an accompanist for dancers and singers, he has performed in Spain and Paris alongside prestigious artists.
Professor at la Pena La Plateria, he also appears regularly in different Tablaos Flamencos in Granada, the Andalousian capital where he has decided to establish himself. He accompanies dancer Juan Ramirez and singer El Cigala on tour and participates in the summer festival of Grenada.

During the year 2000, he played with singer Manuel Lorente, developing a reportoire of Classical Flamenco, as well as with Moroccan musicians performing classical Andalousian music.
 
  Rapha�lle SMITS - Classical Guitar Belgium
Smits has a special bond with Spain where she found her strength and talent. After studying with Jos� Tomas, she became the first woman to win the prestigious guitar competition, Francisco Tarrega, in Benicasim in 1986.
She has also won awards at Grenada and Palma de Mallorca and is frequently asked to be part of the jury for international guitar competitions.

Jorge Cardoso opened the doors of Chili and Argentina to her, and every year since she has gone on tour in South America. After listening to her play, we know why the South Americans, in addition to the Spanish, have maintained a close relationship with Raphaella Smits.

Her name has appeared on posters in all four corners of the world, from San Francisco to Sofia, from Stockholm to Santiago, Chili. Music is her mode of communication

  Minoru INAGAKI - Classical Guitar Japan
Minoru INAGAKI
Born in 1958, this precocious guitarist won first prize at the age of 16 at the Osaka National Competition.
He is also the first Japanese guitarist to be admitted to the National Sup�rieur Conservatory of Paris in the class of Alexandre Lagoya. There he unanimously won first prize in 1980 and subsequently won numerous international competitions around the world, in Italy, the Czech Republic, and France, in addition to winning the Andr�s Segovia competition in Spain. He also appeared on television (TF1) in a tribute to Andr�s Segovia.

  Bekir KUCUKAY -  Turkey
Born in Ankara in 1958, he began the guitar at the age of 16. Not only did he become interested in classical guitar, which he had to study by himself for lack of academic training at the time, but also in jazz.

Kucukay has received many awards such as first prize in 1983 for his work « Monologue » at the National Competition for Guitar Composition and a medal from the Brazilian government for his performances and recordings of works by composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.

In addition to recording albums (Turkish Ballads with Omer Yilmaz in 1995 and Kucukay Plays Kucukay in 1998) he has broadcast on radio, appeared on television, and given a number of concerts including all the well-known guitar concertos with Presidential Symphony Orchestra and the Istanbul, Izmir, Cukurova and Bursa State Symphony Orchestras.

In August 2000 he participated in Second Charlton Kings International Guitar Festival as an instructor and performer.

Since 1988 he has held the position of professor of guitar at the Istanbul University State Conservatory.


  Juan FALU Argentina
Juan Falu
One of the most important figures in presentday Argentinian music, and a prolific composer and arranger, he performs around the world.
Not long ago his musical productions were finally published, and now he has released a total of 8 CDs with several labels in France and Argentina.
In 1999, his peers from Buenos Aires gave him the award « Maestro del Alma » for his works.

Since the 3rd international festival of Vend�me the audience has had the pleasure of listening to Juan Falu with pianist Hilda Herrera. For the festival of 2001 he has  performed alone with his best traditional Argentinian compositions.

  Patrick SAUSSOIS Trio - Gipsy Jazz France
With Jean Claude BENETEAU on bass, and S�bastien REGRENY on guitar.

He began practicing guitar, especially jazz, in the beginning of the 1960s and first appeared on stage in 1966. However, it was not until 1976 that he came to the forefront of the world of French jazz. A musician of rare eclecticism, his repertoire ranges from jazz of standard origins to that of all eras, as well as Brazilian music, French songs, traditional gipsy music, Central European folklore, and swing musette.
