Duo MERINO SALTOS
The MERINO SALTOS Brothers grew up surrounded by folk music, three of their uncles have been professional guitarists for over 50 years.
Their influence has been decisive in the duo’s style and unique way of interpreting various Ecuadorian métis genres. From 2006 their artistic activity has gained momentum in the guitar world, and they have since travelled much of the country by appearing as a duo or a trio with classical guitarist Jenner Baquero. They have recorded several CDs, and taken part in several major international guitar festivals; last December they played at the " Internacional del REQUINTO" festival in Quito, the major event of the Ecuadorian music in the beautiful concert hall of the Casa de la Música. The press is unanimous: " They are two great masters of the traditional guitar of Ecuador." It will be their first appearance at the Vendôme festival
