ALMA LATINA

The musical trip organized for children by the international guitar festival will lead them to discover the musical continent where the very first “Music of the World” started: Latin America.
With the influence of Indians who came from Asia (when all the continents formed one), the contribution of the West bringing the guitar and stringed instruments, the influence of Arab Andalusian music on the Conquistadors of Spain, percussion and rhythms of black slaves who came from Africa… this mixture of cultures gave rise to a host of traditions and instruments which express the originality of each travelled country.
Huayno, Salsa, Cumbia, Lambada, Bresilian Samba, these costumed dances go with the songs and music and are part of the fiestas and carnivals which are a regular part of social life from the Andies to Cuba and from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego to strongly express “the Latin Soul”.

Every one of his concerts is a real lesson of interpretation, an example for all guitarists.

Cristobal Pazmiño TRIO (Ecuador and Bolivia)

Following a 28-year-old career as a solo and duo artist, Cristobal Pazmiño felt the need for a new exciting musical challenge. His meeting with Willan Farinango (Ecuador) and Julio Arguedas (Bolivia), two leading musicians on the contemporary Latin music scene enabled him to carry out this project. All three of them are composers and arrangers with a track record and discography which is testimony to their talent.
With this trio, Cristobal Pazmiño confirms and widens his original style. On stage, he succeeds in combining musical quality with a good sprinkling of joy and humour that he enjoys sharing with the audience.

LAURA GONZALEZ QUARTET (Spain)

Born in Cordoba, this guitarist took her first steps on the tracks of "Arte Flamenco" together with a few great masters: Luis Calderito, Paco Serrano, Merengue de CÛrdoba and Carlos Pacheco.

Laura Gonzalez is one of the very first female leading flamenca guitar concertists. Her youth and huge talent make this guitar player the most promising figure of modern flamenco.

Accompanied by the guitarist JosÈ Rojo, the "cantaor" Pedro Obregon with such a characteristic voice and the "flamenquisimo baile" of Curro Sendra, they perform a magical musical piece of work, in which feeling, strength and rhythm are combined. A bewitching show indeed !
